What is the art charge? (back to top)
Art charges are $30.00 per hour. Your customer service representative will be glad to quote an art charge for your job.

How do I proof my artwork? (back to top)
Art must be approved prior to production.

You will be sent an e-mail that has your customer number and order number and will be directed to a site that shows your design in the correct thread colors requested. Please be aware that colors to vary on different monitors and the thread color(s) will match the color(s) chosen on the thread chart.

May I cancel an order? (back to top)
Orders that have not been embroidered can be cancelled. However, restocking fees will be charged to cover the cost of sending the items back to the distributor. Artwork and digitizing fees will be charged on orders that have been cancelled if they were cancelled after the artwork was completed.


May I embroider on supplied garments? (contract embroidery) (back to top)
Embroidery on garments which you provide will be charged as listed below.
Design and digitizing charges will be handled the same as if we provided the garments.

If you would like to apply for 30 Day Terms you may fill out our credit application. Please mail it to our Lynchburg address on the form.

What is Digitizing? (back to top)
Digitizing is a process of converting any graphic art to an embroidery format, so that computerized embroidery machines read and replicate it with a series of appropriately colored stitches.


How is garment dyed apparel different than regular apparel? (back to top)
Shade Variations are inherent in the garment dying process. Garment dyed goods should be washed separately in cold water before wearing.

Yes, the minimum quantity for embroidery is only one piece.

May I embroider my name on a garment?

Yes, we can embroider your name on your garment. Left chest pocket area or right chest pocket area in script or block is standard for a name, the cost is $5.00 per name.

How do I pay for my order? (back to top)
We accept cash, check, and charge: Visa, MasterCard, and American Express for payment. The name the order is placed in is who will be responsible for payment of the order. All checks should be written to them, then they can write us one check, or pay by cash or credit card. WE DO NOT ACCEPT MULTIPLE CHECKS FOR A SINGLE ORDER.

Orders can be picked up at any of our four locations in Blacksburg, Charlottesville, Lynchburg and Roanoke. It will be available at the same location as where the order was placed unless another location is requested at the time the order is placed. For store hours and directions click here.

We cannot accept returns on decorated or washed garments under any circumstances.

Do you do rush orders? (back to top)
Rush orders are available. Please call us today to see if your order can be fit into our production schedule. Rush charges do apply during peak business seasons.

How do I sign up for tax exempt status? (back to top)
Sales tax cannot be taken off an account until High Peak Sportswear has a signed tax exempt form with your tax exemption number on file. The tax exempt certificate name must be the same name as on the account. Individuals are not tax exempt.

Will I receive an embroidered sample?

An embroidered sample of your logo or design is available upon request; otherwise artwork will be approved online and your order sent to production.

Can I have my order shipped? (back to top)
High Peak Sportswear ships via UPS. Standard UPS rates are charged.

What are your standard embroidery locations and size? (back to top)
Adult garments- 3.5" square is our standard pocket area embroidery size. Hats are sized at 4"w x 2"h. Embroidery on the sleeve is sized at 2.5"w x 2.5"h.

First time orders will be billed COD. If you would like to apply for Net 30-Day Terms you may fill out our credit application. Please mail it to our Lynchburg address on the form. What is your turnaround time?

Our standard turn around time is two weeks from the receipt of your order. Please add an additional week for orders requiring digitizing. Rush orders are available, please contact our staff.
